The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the team of Assistant Professor CHEN Lin. The role focuses on the development and application of innovative bacteriophage-based strategies to combat multi-drug resistant (MDR) pathogen infections.
Depending on the applicant's interest, the research will involve either molecular engineering of bacteriophages for enhanced antimicrobial efficacy and host range expansion or the development of phage-based delivery materials and antimicrobial coatings. The position offers opportunities for collaborative research, scientific publication, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Carry out an independent research project and collaborate with other researchers.
-
Supervise junior members of the lab, including PhD students and undergraduate interns.
-
Keep a log of lab material and conduct safety management and data management as necessary.
-
Present research at lab meetings and national/international conferences.
Job Requirements:
-
Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Food Science, Polymer Chemistry, or a related field.
-
Strong background in molecular biology techniques, bacteriophage biology, or food hydrocolloids and packaging technologies.
-
Experience in laboratory research, molecular study, antimicrobial materials development, or polymer chemistry.
-
Proven track record of scientific publications and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
-
Productive, hard-working and dedicate to the completion of task assigned.
