The Department of Biology at Tufts University is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach Molecular Biology for Biology majors (Bio 105- Molecular Biology) in Summer 2024 (May 22 - June 28). Course may cover gene structure and function in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, fundamentals of recombinant DNA technology such as mechanisms of DNA replication and repair, recombination, transcription, and protein synthesis. Advanced topics such as translational science, regulation of gene expression during development, transposition, and chromatin structure can be based on current literature. The course normally enrolls 20-30 students and may involve both online and in-person sessions.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate should have a PhD in a biological field, and prior experience teaching cell and molecular topics.
