JOB PURPOSE:
A self-motivated and proactive Lecturer in Chemistry specializing in Analytical/Organic Chemistry or closely related area.
Experience in teaching practical General/Analytical/Organic Chemistry courses (labs) at the higher education/university level and hands-on experience in wet chemistry and instrumentation.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
- Teach theoretical and practical courses in the field.
- Provide academic and professional Advice to students.
- Contribute to curriculum and program development.
- Contribute to the academic assessment processes.
- Contribute to community services, outreach activities and students' extracurricular activities.
- Coordinate laboratory activities and teaching.
- Manage and maintain instrumentations.
- Contribute to the development of instructional methodologies use IT and AI protocols.
- Ensure health and safety procedure are implemented and updated.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- MSc. degree in Analytical/Organic Chemistry from a reputable/recognized academic institution.
- Fluency in the English Language in both writing and orally.
- At least 1 year of teaching Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and/or Instrumental Analysis Labs. at the University level.
- Preferred 1 year of research experience.
- Proficiency in using separation, spectrophotometric and spectroscopic techniques.
- Preferred experience in IR, NMR, Raman, and XPS techniques.
- Experience in Food Chemistry, and Quality Control.
- Preferred knowledge in data acquisition using LabView.
