JOB PURPOSE:

​A self-motivated and proactive Lecturer in Chemistry specializing in Analytical/Organic Chemistry or closely related area.

Experience in teaching practical General/Analytical/Organic Chemistry courses (labs) at the higher education/university level and hands-on experience in wet chemistry and instrumentation.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

• Teach theoretical and practical courses in the field.
• Provide academic and professional Advice to students.
• Contribute to curriculum and program development.
• Contribute to the academic assessment processes.
• Contribute to community services, outreach activities and students' extracurricular activities.
• Coordinate laboratory activities and teaching.
• Manage and maintain instrumentations.
• Contribute to the development of instructional methodologies use IT and AI protocols.
• Ensure health and safety procedure are implemented and updated.  

REQUIRED SKILLS

• ​MSc. degree in Analytical/Organic Chemistry from a reputable/recognized academic institution.
• Fluency in the English Language in both writing and orally. 
• At least 1 year of teaching Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and/or Instrumental Analysis Labs. at the University level.
• Preferred 1 year of research experience.
• Proficiency in using separation, spectrophotometric and spectroscopic techniques.
• Preferred experience in IR, NMR, Raman, and XPS techniques.
• Experience in Food Chemistry, and Quality Control.
• Preferred knowledge in data acquisition using LabView.
