Dr. Lawrence's research focuses on three main projects:
Development and functionalization of polymer electrolyte materials compatible with lithium metal; part of the NASA MIRO research program.
Studying the role of hydrogen-bonding, utilizing nucleic acid base (nucleobases) pairing, in electron and energy transfer systems.
Design and synthesis of modified nucleobases as potential hydrogel drug delivery systems and more elaborate nucleobase-appended, biologically relevant covalent polymers.
