  • Dr. Cooper's research interests are in accelerator-based, experimental nuclear and particle physics. His research studies the fundamental interactions of neutrinos in matter, short baseline neutrino oscillations, and the novel use of neutrino detectors to search for accelerator-produced, low-mass dark matter. He is developing state-of-the-art liquid noble gas detectors, as well as classic technologies like organic liquid scintillators, to pursue these efforts.
