Our research focus is on the preparation of corannulene-based polymers differing in their chemical composition and architecture together with studying their properties. We are particularly interested in the complexation behavior of these materials with fullerenes, carbon nanotubes, and graphene. In this direction, we have developed synthetic strategies leading to corannulene-core star polymers, corannulene side-chain homopolymers and block copolymers, and corannulene main-chain polymers. In our recent studies, we have shown that these polymers can interact with C60 and the strength of this interaction could be tuned by controlling the chemical structure of the polymer, chemical nature of the solvent, and temperature.
