Sweazea’s current research focus is on understanding how being overweight, obesity, sugars, and fats, contribute to the development of insulin resistance and impaired vascular reactivity from lower vertebrates tohumans. This includes studies designed to explore potential dietary supplements that may regulate blood pressure through decreasing oxidative stress and inflammation.
