The main focus of my research involves the synthesis and reactivity of Main Group elements, including their transition metal chemistry. Some of the key achievements in my research career include the synthesis and stabilization of the elusive boron-oxygen double bond (A), the first reported examples of boron and aluminium (B) mononuclear dications, the coordination and activation of the BF molecule (C) and the synthesis of a single bonded cationic terminal borylene complex (D).
The interests in my research group lie in developing highly reactive Lewis acids based on Group 13 elements as well as fundamental research (bond and reactivity) involving transition metal chemistry of these elements
