Expertise: My specialty is microbiology and, in particular, cyanobacterial biochemistry. We are studying the effects of environmental stress on cyanobacteria using techniques such as NMR spectroscopy, enzyme assays, gel electrophoresis and proteomics. We are also studying chromium and lead resistant bacteria that have been isolated from heavy metal rich soils.
