Expertise: Dr. Lipton has studied lipid metabolism at both the cellular level and in whole animal models in both diabetic and atherosclerotic states. She is particularly interested in macrophage biology and the role that this cell plays in inflammatory events early in the development of atherosclerotic lesions.
