Prof. Dr. Peng He's research interests include bioanalytical chemistry and biosensors, polymer chemistry and physics, and phospholipid-nanomaterial bioconjugates. He is developing new types of polymer/polymerization-based bioanalytical sensors for early screening and diagnosis of human diseases, and health assessment in space. In the past, he developed an Amplification-by-Polymerization approach in DNA biosensing, electrochemical biosensors in microfluidics, phospholipid-nanomaterial bioconjugates via phospholipid modification/functionalization, and in-situ FTIR approach to study polymer conformational change during the thermal degradation.
