Expertise: Professor Brumaghim’s research focuses on transition-metal-mediated oxidative damage to DNA. Her group is currently investigating the ability of selenium antioxidant compounds to inhibit DNA oxidation and studying the biologically-relevant coordination chemistry of selenium.
