About New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology

NM Tech is a federally-designated Hispanic Serving Institution, and roughly 1/3 of our faculty and majors are female. The department and campus is small and collegial with roughly 1300 undergraduates and 500 graduate students in science and engineering. Socorro is a town of 9000 people one hour south of Albuquerque.
