About University of California San Diego

The primary faculty of 20 members includes 5 members of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), and one Howard Hughes Medical Institute Professor . There are only 9 individuals in the world who have been inducted to all three academies. The Department of Bioengnieering has the honor of having 2 of the individuals on our faculty.
