About This Department

The University of Vermont, established in 1791, is a comprehensive research university with a current enrollment of 12,000+ undergraduate, graduate, and medical students. The scientific and academic environments in the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (CEMS), and throughout the UVM community are dynamic, highly collaborative, and multi-disciplinary. Significant campus resources for research collaboration include: Advanced Genome Technologies Core, Complex Systems Center, Larner College of Medicine, Gund Institute for Environment, Vermont Genetics Network, Transportation Research Center, Vermont EPSCoR, Vermont Space Grant Consortium, and the Vermont Advanced Computing Core.
