Project employee for a Lifewide learning project
Your duties
You will be responsible for developing the course “Optimisation in practice” which will be an in-company mathematical optimisation course combining practical lectures and workshops. Activities include curriculum development, lesson plan development, creation of course materials (e.g., digital notes, computational exercises), and support with of a pilot version of the course.
This is a one-year position, and we hope the selected person could start by April 2024 at the latest.
Requirements
The successful candidate is expected to have an MSc in Mathematics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or any other related field, and a good working knowledge of mathematical optimization and basic computer programming skills. Familiarity with mathematical optimisation software, programming languages such as Python and/or Julia, and teaching experience are considered relevant assets.
A good command of English is required, Finnish language is not. The materials will be developed in English.
We offer
The expected starting salary is approximately 2650€/month. The contract includes occupational health care benefits and a holiday bonus.
