Compensation: $9,730 for course instruction

The Pre-College Program within University College at Tufts University is seeking a part-time instructor in the field of Bioinformatics to teach the following course in the Summer II 2024 session: CSS 0092 Bioinformatics Through Sequencing. The BioSeq course, which has been offered to pre-college students for several years, gives students the rare opportunity to learn about cutting-edge developments in next-generation DNA sequencing with first-hand experience in collecting and analyzing real experimental data. This course is scheduled to meet July 2- August 9; M, T, W, Th; 9:30am-11:15am. It is open to rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have completed either AP or honors biology. It will be taught virtually using Labster, with a target enrollment of 15-30.

 

Qualifications

M.A. in an appropriate discipline. Previous related teaching experience is required, preferably at the college level.
