The Postdoctoral Scholar/Research Fellow will be responsible for designing, fabricating and characterizing nanophotonic circuits and devices for use in applications such as photonic integrated circuits, nonlinear optics, optical communications and topological photonics.
Qualified candidates should have experience in some or all of the following:
Clean room fabrication and metrology (Ebeam lithography, thin film deposition, etching, SEM, AFM, etc.);
Characterization of photonic structures;
Semiconductor materials and optical physics;
Finite differences and finite element modeling;
Strong programming skills (Matlab, etc.); and,
Good interpersonal skills.
The selected candidate must be a self-starter, who is able to work independently and in a team environment.
A Bachelor’s/Master’s/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Optics or a related field is required.
