Adjunct Faculty to team teach two sections of Biol 123N - Principles of Microbiology (For Nursing Majors) with an experienced instructor. Adjunct Faculty will be responsible to teach sections 01 and 02 on Thursdays only. This position is for the 2019 Fall semester.
This introductory course provides the basis for understanding the nature of human disease caused by microbial pathogens and viral agents. It covers the fundamental principles of cell structure and compares prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells; viral agents; bacterial genetics and antibiotic resistance, the principles of infectious disease, pathogenesis and immune response, the importance of vaccination as a key public health measure, nosocomial infections and hospital infection control.

Qualifications: Masters or PhD level of education with some teaching experience.

Scheduled Hours:
Section 01: Thursday 9:30 am to 10:50 am, plus 1 hour per week for office hours.
Section 02: Thursday 11:00 am to 12:20 pm, plus 1 hour per week for office hours
