The Environmental Studies Program at Tufts University is seeking a part‐time lecturer to teach Environmental Negotiations in Spring 2024. This class meets once a week on Mondays at 1:30PM - 4:00PM in the Medford campus. The first and last day of class is Jan 22nd and April 29th, 2024 respectively.

This course is an introduction to the history and current application of environmental negotiations in response to complex environmental challenges. It examining both the theory behind varied approaches to negotiating environmental agreements and the international and domestic systems through which such negotiations take place. The course combines both traditional seminar discussions and hands-on activities such as negotiation simulations. A syllabus is available upon request but we encourage applicants to tailor the course around their own strengths in the field.

Preference will be given to applicants that can teach in person, but remote applicants will be considered as well.

 

 

Qualifications

- Advanced degree in relevant field

- Demonstrated teaching excellence at the college level
