We are seeking a Postdoctoral Associate. In this position, you will:
conduct heteroepitaxial growth of high-temperature superconductors using pulsed laser ablation (PLD) and optimize conditions for growth
investigate incorporation of controlled nanostructures of nonsuperconducting materials with superconducting layers to optimize fluxpinning or vortex-pinning
measure transport and magnetic superconducting properties of grown materials and films
Candidates will also be considered for a volunteer Research Assistant Professor position.

Doctorate in a relevant science or engineering discipline
Ability to work independently is required
Two years research experience related to heteroepitaxial growth superconducting materials using PLD and experience with optimizing nanostructures for flux-pinning
Two years prior work experience in a postdoctoral position is highly desired
A strong record of research publication and experience in writing grant proposals is desired
Preferably prior research related to heteroepitaxial growth superconducting materials using PLD and preferably experience with optimizing nanostructures for flux-pinning
