Requirements
A Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in Computer Science or related field with at least four (4) years of lecturing experience in Communication Networks or Systems Administration at tertiary education level or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience in Software Development/Engineering. A Doctorate will be an advantage. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Competence to teach the following courses: Data Networks, Systems Administration, Database Administration, Datacentre Infrastructure Management, and Software Defined Networking at Honours level. Competence to establish professional networks and to maintain links with the industry, as well as experience in developing under-graduate programmes. Supervision of students’ research project/mini thesis is essential. A credible record of lecturing, peer-reviewed publications and community engagement will be an added advantage.
