The NTU Centre in Computational Technologies for Finance (CCTF) is a newly created Pan-University Centre co-managed by the College of Engineering (CoE) and Nanyang Business School (NBS), to coordinate and support the University’s Blockchain initiatives, activities and programs.
The Research Fellow/Technical Project Lead will lead and participate in the Blockchain research projects hosted by CCTF and support the Centre Director in the development of major research grants for Blockchain.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and Innovation:
- Conduct cutting-edge blockchain research, particularly in Smart Grids and Energy Trading.
- Collaborate on innovative solutions with multidisciplinary teams.
- Publish findings in reputable journals and present at academic conferences.
- Lead and participate in NTU-CCTF's Blockchain research projects.
- Support major research grant proposals for Blockchain initiatives.
2. Mentorship:
- Guide and mentor undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students in related research.
- Act as a technical mentor for NTU's Blockchain Club, assisting students in blockchain-related activities.
3. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Foster collaborations within NTU and with external partners, including government agencies and industry leaders.
4. Support:
- Assist in teaching activities and contribute to Blockchain course materials for the MSc in Blockchain and other Continuing Education and Training (CET) programs.
- Actively participate in the activities of CCTF, contributing to the smooth functioning of the Centre.
Job Requirements:

PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related fields.

Proven expertise in Blockchain technologies or platforms like Ethereum, Algorand, Conflux, etc.

Familiarity with blockchains, smart contracts, Web 3.0 and decentralized systems.

Proficiency in at least one programming language (C/C++, Python, Java).

Strong mentorship and communication skills for guiding students.

Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and students.
An initial 1-year contract will be offered, with an option to renew for 2 additional years upon satisfactory performance.
