Valparaiso University’s Department of Computing and Information Sciences announces a tenure-track position available at the rank of assistant professor. Either a January 2020 or an August 2020 start date will be considered. (Please specify preference in letter of application.)
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in computer science (or a closely related field) in order to contribute to teaching and scholarship in computer science, and will be willing to develop and teach both in-person and online classes.
Current programs include an undergraduate major and minor in Computer Science, a Master’s program in Information Technology, and a Master’s program in Cyber Security with a diverse student population. The department encourages a variety of experiential, research, and project driven learning opportunities across all programs and expects a commitment to excellence in teaching.

Duties include 24 workload credit hours per year distributed among teaching, continued scholarly activity, assistance in administration of programs, and service to the Department and University.
