The Yan Research Group at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a postdoctoral scholar. The group has developed advanced optical trapping and manipulation techniques, and the new postdoc is expected to further develop or use these techniques to address fundamental challenges in nanophotonics, soft matter and biology.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Physics, chemistry, biology, or other related subjects, conferred within the last four years or to be conferred in 2020. We are especially interested in candidates with research experiences in either of these fields: optical instrumentation, ultrafast laser spectroscopy, super-resolution microscopy, biophotonics, cell biology, biomedicine, and machine learning. The successful candidate would have a strong publication record and good writing skills.
