The Center for Computational Research (CCR) at the University at Buffalo (UB) invites applications for a full-stack scientific programmer. CCR ( http://www.ccr.buffalo.edu/www.ccr.buffalo.edu) is a leading academic supercomputing center that maintains high performance computing and storage resources dedicated to supporting the university’s research activities. The Center is seeking to hire highly motivated individuals who wish to work in a dynamic research environment.
Responsibilities: * Serve as Scientific Programmer (Software Engineer) at the Center for Computational Research (CCR) under the supervision of the Lead Computational Scientist and the Lead Software Engineer.
* Enable faculty-led research at UB, especially in the Life Sciences, through the development of web-based applications (both GUI’s and server-side), algorithm development, relational and non-relational databases, and custom scientific software.
* Support the REDfly project ( http://redfly.ccr.buffalo.eduhttp://redfly.ccr.buffalo.edu), a major resource for gene regulation research.
