Primary Purpose of Position
The Department of Computer Systems Technology (CST) is accepting applications for Part-time Instructors. Part-time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach a variety of courses in electronics technology, information technology, and computer system technology programs delivered by the Department. The maximum teaching load is four courses per semester. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching face-to-face courses or online courses, teaching face-to-face courses laboratory courses, participating in teaching training, limited student advising, participating in data collection and assessment of student learning, participating in department faculty and staff meeting, and submitting teaching materials as part of semester review.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Department of Computer System Technology supports over 330 undergraduate majors and 110 graduate students. The CST Department prepares students to pursue technical, as well as technical management careers in all employment sectors. The program emphasizes acquisition of sound theoretical studies, as well as intensive hands-on experiences in the area of electronics technology. The CST Department emphasizes development of real world competencies demanded by employers. Students receive thorough grounding in electronics; digital and microprocessor systems; computer technologies, including hardware, software and computer networking; communication systems; power distribution; and automation and control systems. Additional emphasis is placed on courses in business management, statistical process control, humanities, computer programming, safety and project management, and manufacturing processes to provide students the background they need in the economic and managerial aspects of the business enterprise.

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Information Technology, or a related field at the time of application.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Candidates with minimum of one year teaching experience at the University or Community College level and with related industrial experience.
