Job Description:
An immediate postdoctoral research associate position is available in the laboratories of Gretchen Mahler in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Cláudia Marques in the Department of Biological Sciences at Binghamton University, Binghamton, NY, to work on a project related to engineering a small intestinal microbiome to evaluate food additive exposure.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a PhD in cell biology, microbiology, biomedical engineering, or a related field and be proficient in tissue culture techniques, microbiology techniques, RNA-related methods, and RT-PCR.
Experience working with nanoparticle characterization and biofilms is desired.
Job requirements include data collection and analysis, preparation of scientific reports and manuscripts, and travel to scientific meetings.
Successful applicants should be self-motivated, productive, experienced in writing scientific publications, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team.
