The new Chair will have an opportunity to take the Department of Information Technology & Decision Sciences to new heights working closely with a collegial, productive, and dedicated team of 29 full-time faculty members. The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding in how to build, manage, and advance education and research programs in a department with several diverse areas simultaneously, how to work with the faculty in a transparent and collegial manner, and how to interact with the Dean, upper administration, and peers, e.g., chairs of other departments, for the benefit of the ITDS Department. The new Chair will be collaborative, a team builder, communicative, patient, nurturing, and judicious. They will also be capable of building relationship with industry and other organizations to expand ITDS’s research programs as well as support for student activities, scholarships, and internships, and career opportunities for our graduates.
