Two 12-month postdoctoral fellowships to work on a joint research project between these Brazilian universities: UFMG, UFES, UFRGS, Unicamp, Unisinos. The work location is flexible, in one of the partner cities: Belo Horizonte-MG, Vitória-ES, Porto Alegre-RS and Campinas-SP The selected candidate will be allocated to one of the partner universities and will work with researchers from the consortium.
The fellowships are part of the project “PORVIR-5G - Programming, Orchestration and Virtualization in 5G Networks”, based at UFMG, which aims to develop new architectures and mechanisms to improve 5G networks in general. The postdoctoral candidate will work on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in the orchestration of 5G, B5G and 6G networks, as well as on network slicing and programmability of virtual networks. The vacancies are open to Brazilians and foreigners. Those selected will receive a Fapesp Foundation (www.fapesp.br) Postdoctoral Fellowship in the amount of R$12,000.00 per month (about USD 2,200 or EUR 2,000) and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity. Support for travel to the city of work will be provided.
