At the department of Chemistry, graduate and undergraduate and research educational activities related to public, health, environmental, industrial, pharmaceutical and academic are carried out. Approximately 15 faculty member from diverse nations are currently working at the department. The department combines the state-of-the-art equipment with broad knowledge of academic and research areas in different branches of chemistry and chemistry related areas.
One important goal of the department of chemistry is to develop and advance methods in the area of Analytical Chemistry. Focus on modern techniques in the instrumental analysis, beside that hand on working and development in modern instrumentations related to life science is an essential need. In this regards we are looking for an Associate/Full Professor in Analytical chemistry
We are looking for an outstanding associate/full professor in field of instrumental analytical chemistry. In addition to maintaining an independent research track, the duty of teaching to both undergraduate and graduate students is an important task of the faculty.
1- Teach theoretical and practical courses in the field at the graduate and undergraduate levels
2- Conduct high quality research work in the area
3- Recruit external and internal research funds
4- Provide academic and professional Advising to students
5- Contribute to curriculum and program development
6- Contribute in the academic assessment processes
7- Contribute to community services
1- Extensive and evidence-based experience in modern analytical instrumentation (MALDI-TOF, GC-NMR, GC-MS,…..).
2- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable him/her to smoothly interact with staff and faculty at the institute and effectively liaise on behalf of the department among scientists, research centers, and funding agencies
3- At least 10 year of teaching experience at the higher educational level
4- Proven record of instrumental analysis experience
5- Professionalism in working with modern instrumentation in the field of analytical chemistry.
- Ph. D in Analytical chemistry from a Western University (US/Canada/ Europe/Japan) with a good track publication record in a top journals.
- Extensive knowledge of instrumentation.
- Expertise in analysis and interpretation of spectroscopic data.
- Solid understanding of experimental and theoretical Analytical chemistry.
- A proven academic track record, including high-impact and highly cited publications and teaching record
- Experience of collaboration between different disciplines.
