The Division of Environmental Science within the Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a multi-year Continuing Lecturer position. Duties will include instruction of two introductory-level majors or non-majors courses and, at times, upper level courses in the applicant’s discipline. This position also carries the requirement of service as an undergraduate adviser.

The University and Department: Located in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, UNT has an enrollment of more than 38,000 students. As one of the nation’s largest universities, UNT offers 103 bachelor’s, 86 master’s and 38 doctoral degree programs. UNT’s faculty and staff prepare students for the challenges they will meet in our changing world by supporting diversity and strengthening our collaborations, business and community partners. The Department of Biological Sciences offers degree programs in biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, ecology, and environmental science at both the undergraduate (B.S. /B.A.) and graduate (M.S. /Ph.D.) levels.

Minimum Qualifications:
A PhD degree in an area of biological sciences or closely related field and college teaching experience is required. In addition the candidate should be able to demonstrate strong communication skills; a commitment to excellent teaching; the ability to interact professionally with a diversity of faculty, staff and students; and a desire to make a commitment to undergraduate education.
