Position Summary
A Postdoctoral Associate position is available in the Ferkey Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Research in our lab is directed towards understanding the regulatory mechanisms that control animal behavior. Using C. elegans sensory behavior (e.g. chemosensation) as a model, we study the regulation of G protein-coupled signal transduction pathways as well as the mechanisms by which gap junctions modulate signaling and behavior. http://biology.buffalo.edu/Faculty/Ferkey/ferkey.html

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or related field.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with C. elegans neuroscience is strongly preferred. A solid understanding of genetic principles and molecular biology (especially subcloning, PCR and DNA electrophoresis), as well as experience with microscopy, is critically important. Please email, as a single PDF file, your cover letter and CV to: dmferkey@buffalo.edu.
