Applications are invited for a NIH-funded postdoc position in the laboratory of Dr. Park (http://www.buffalo.edu/hunter-james-kelly-research-institute/laboratories/Park-lab.html) at SUNY Buffalo. We are interested in the role of glial cells in the development and function of the central nervous system. Current research efforts are focused on elucidating the transcriptional regulatory network governing the specification and differentiation of oligodendrocytes (Bioinformatics 27(21):3024; Nat Methods 9(12):1134; PLoS Biology 11(8):e1001624; Nucleic Acids Res 45(9):5112). Toward this goal, we combine sophisticated computational analysis, cutting edge epigenome editing and Drop-seq, traditional molecular and cellular analyses, and mouse genetics.
A PhD degree with strong background in molecular and cell biology is required, and experience in animal handling is also essential such as mouse breeding and tissue dissection. This position is immediately available and comes with a competitive salary and full fringe benefits.
