Pay Range: $15.16 per hour or higher depending on experience

Position Summary:

Dr. Paul Rowley seeks a self-motivated and enthusiastic laboratory technician to manage the day-to-day running of the Rowley lab. The technician will also be responsible for performing basic scientific experiments in support of general laboratory research goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in field related to research area; OR experience totaling at least 3 years in laboratory setting.

Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques, including cell culture and molecular biology.

Understands and practices safe laboratory working practices and record keeping.

Preferred Qualifications:

Self-motivated, enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills to tackle biological problems related to infectious disease.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Ability to perform assigned laboratory duties; may be required to work with potentially infectious biological materials (including viruses and infected biological materials), and potentially toxic, volatile, corrosive chemicals and/or carcinogenic substances in a laboratory setting..
