We invite qualified applicants to apply for faculty positions at all ranks (Assistant, Associate and Full Professor):
We are recruiting faculty in Solid Earth Geophysics
with expertise in seismic wave phenomena, focusing on seismic data analysis, seismic interferometry, ambient noise imaging, big data analysis, numerical simulations, and utilization of smart sensor technologies. Experience in imaging geo-reservoirs (oil, gas,geothermal) through passive and time lapse reservoir monitoring is desired.
The successful applicant should have a proven track record in publishing high-impact papers and is expected to establish a thriving research program. Engaging in national and international scientific collaborations is part of the KAUST spirit. Commitment to high-quality teaching at the graduate level, and active participation in the KAUST academic and community life is what makes KAUST faculty unique.
Ph.D. degree is required

The Faculty of Earth Science and Engineering at KAUST currently has twelve full-time faculty members, about 42 postdoctoral fellows and research scientists and more than 70 graduate students. Research areas include: applications of modern computational methods to study geophysical problems associated with the atmosphere and/or ocean circulation, earthquakes, oil exploration, reservoir modeling and subsurface phenomena. These areas are enhanced through close collaboration with some of the best geophysical and meteorological centers in the world, and through KAUST's advanced central research facilities, including supercomputing and scientific visualization. A research center specifically devoted to Upstream Petroleum Engineering (Ali I. Al-Naimi Petroleum Engineering Research Center) has recently been established.
